Josie Maran Argan Cleansing Oil | $32

A gentle, all-natural cleanser with nourishing argan oil to melt away makeup and deeply hydrate skin. This effective, multitasking cleanser removes makeup and skin impurities while providing essential hydration.

Sunflower, safflower, and grape seed oils cleanse the skin’s surface and renew the complexion, leaving it healthy-looking and refreshed. Ideal for all skin types, the non-greasy texture leaves skin feeling moisturized—never tight or dry.

I first tried this cleansing oil as a sample and liked how well it removed my makeup, so I splurged and got my first cleansing oil ever. That being said, when I first began using this I had nothing to compare it to. Like I said, first cleansing oil I purchased was this one. In the beginning, I liked it. It got the makeup to lift and break apart so getting my makeup off was easier. Because I liked the results, and I like trying new and different products, I went ahead and purchased a couple of different cleansing oils. After purchasing drug store cleansers, I have to say, I never reach for my Josie Maran Argan Cleansing Oil any more.

Compared to my other oils, this one is super thick, Which means I have to use at least 4-5 pumps to get the right amount of product required to remove my full face glam. I also have to follow up with a ton of water because this oil is not only super thick, but super sticky and kind of tacky so it’s hard to get the product to move around and massage it in if I don’t use water.

It definitely does remove my makeup though and despite being thick, it doesn’t leave any oily residue behind. And it does’t dry me out although that is only a concern for me during the winter.

I feel that an oil that is this expensive, should require me to use a lot less product. A little doesn’t really go a long with this thing. And it has a lot of added fragrances, which might be why it tastes so damn gross when it seeps its way into the seams of my lips and I unavoidably end up tasting it. http://jmservice.com/sales-team/ Hate the taste but at least it smells nice haha.

I don’t think I will be repurchasing this after I finish up my second bottle (although I’m still not done with the first). I ended up buying a backup before ever trying out the drugstore oils. I will say that after introducing an oil to my skin care routine, removing my makeup has been so much easier. I hate when it takes me a ton of wipes to get rid of any traces of makeup and when I use an oil before using a wipe, it’s so much easier and a lot less tugging on my skin. So while I might necessarily recommend this oil, I will definitely recommend using an oil cleanser. Removing makeup is so much easier now.

Either way, go grab yourself a sample because the reviews on this Josie Maran Cleansing Oil are really amazing. It didn’t quite work out for my normal/combination skin but it might work for you 🙂 If you love this stuff let me know! Maybe I’m using it wrong?
