Colour Pop Just Peachy Lip Trio | $15

“Ultra Matte Lip: This thin, lightweight formula smoothly glides on the lips leaving SUPER intense pigment with a bold, ultra-matte look. It is very long-wearing and 100% kiss-proof AKA no transferring! Tips: Exfoliate your lips for smoothest application. If you’d like, you can apply your favorite Ultra Glossy Lip as a topper! You can apply multiple layers of gloss to achieve your desired coverage.”

“Step One: Start with bare, dry exfoliated lips! Prime your lips with our Lippie Primer for increased longevity and smoother application! Step Two: Line your lips with a matching Lippie Pencil; this will help you achieve the perfect finished look and give the appearance of fuller lips. Step Three: Apply your lipstick in a thin layer for best wear.”

“Ultra Satin Lip: A creamy, bold lipstick with a satin finish. This formula has the same high percentage of pigments as an Ultra Matte Lip but contains emollient ingredients for added moisture, keeping lips looking fresh and feeling super comfortable. Though this lipstick is super long-wearing, it is not completely kiss-proof and does transfer.”

“Instigator: Ultra Matte Lip; muted peach. Screenshot: Ultra Satin Lip; deepened peach. Speed Dial: Ultra Matte Lip; rich peach.Shades: Orange, Corals, Nudes. Net Weight 3 x 3.2 g / 0.11 oz”

I’ve become somewhat of a ColourPop fan over the past few months and let’s just say I have a lot more product reviews and swatches from this brand coming very soon. I picked these up a while ago and they are surprisingly still available. I say surprisingly because these are freakin good and cheap!

The matte formula is very long lasting and soo comfy on the lips (no dry, cracked, dehydrated, and shriveled looking lips). The satin formula is also super comfy and somewhere between a gloss and a liquid lipstick that somehow manages to last an incredibly long time. They feel a little bit tacky but they stay put. I really love this formula and if I had the space, and they didn’t expire within a year, I’d have purchased every single shade by now.

The applicator on both the Ultra Matte and Ultra Satin lipsticks are the same and they are fluffy and say for me to use. But if you have trouble applying liquid lipsticks, get yourself a lipliner and line your lips first. It only gets easier from there.

I’d totally recommend these to any o you how love liquid lipsticks and even to those trying them out for the first time. This is probably the safest way to go if you’re new to liquid formulas and you definitely can’t beat the price point, plus the quality doesn’t disappoint … can’t go wrong there.

Colour Pop Peachy Keen Eyeshadows | Swatches & Review

Colour Pop Peachy Keen Eyeshadow Set | $18

“Super Shock Shadow: Our famous long-wearing crème powder formula with a unique bouncy-like texture. It’s super creamy, insanely pigmented, and has one swipe intensity with zero fallout.”

“Finish: Metallic, Matte. Shades: Golds, Oranges/Corals, Neutrals. Net Weight 4 x 2.1 g / 0.07 oz”

“For Max Coverage – Use your fingertip and tap shadow directly onto the eyelid. A flat, firm synthetic brush will also work and is perfect for detailed application close to the lash line.”

“To Blend: Use a fluffy synthetic brush with good movement, dip the tip into the shadow and apply with a “windshield wiper” movement throughout the crease of the eye for a soft and diffused look.”

“Crimper: soft gold with multi-dimensional gold glitter. Kennedy: matte true mid-tone peach. Cornelious: matte warm caramel. Bandit: matte warm rusty brown

I know these came out SO long ago .. but I’ve been busy with life. Good news is they are still available and I have no idea how they aren’t sold out because these shadows are everything. I was on the fence with ColourPop shadows before but after purchasing a few I can’t stay away.

Not only are these shadows inexpensive, but they’re super pigmented, creamy as hell, and blend like a dream. I use my Morphe brushes on the matte shades and use a wet (MAC Fix+) synthetic brush to apply shimmery shades and the pigmentation is out of this world. Especially for this price point. I didn’t use any primer for my swatches, just swirled my fingers in twice and applied the swatch to skin.

Whether you’re a makeup junkie, a novice, or a pro, these shadows won’t disappoint. ColourPop has yet to disappoint me and I’d totally recommend these to anyone. They are limited edition and currently on sale so if you haven’t gotten your hands on these yet … I’d suggest you run!

Too Faced Love Light Prismatic Highlighter in You Light Up My Life | Swatch & Review

Too Faced Love Light Prismatic Highlighter in You Light Up My Life | $30

“Go from subtly lit to dramatically strobed. Using unique Prisma Shine patented technology, Love Light combines the best of powder, liquid, baked and cream formulas for an unparalleled radiance. Universal shades light you up all day and night. You GLOW girl!”

“Turn on your Love Light! Too Faced Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer Jerrod Blandino was inspired to capture that ethereal glow that occurs only when a woman is in love, so he went to Italy to discover an exclusive liquid-to-powder formula that enables the light reflecting pigments to float in the powder.”

“Unlike traditional pressed powders that crush the pearls during the pressing process, our innovative technology keeps the pearls spherical so they’re able to reflect light from any angle.”

“Features a luminosity boosting agent and high pearl consistency that instantly brightens. Gorgeous color payoff with a pearl radiant finish.”

“Universal shades create a flattering glow. Incandescent glow with mesmerizing metallic shine. Cruelty-free, formulated without parabens and without gluten. Net Wt. 9.0 g / 0.32 Oz.”

How could I have passed up on these?! I mean look at this packaging! Of all the releases this year, this has got to be the most beautiful packaging I’ve seen. These have such a luxe look and a nice weight to the packaging. I can’t even begin to tell you how gorgeous these are in person. Pictures don’t do them any justice. I literally cannot stop staring at them and I refuse to put them away in a drawer. These have been sitting on my vanity front and center since I got them.

And that’s all they’ve been doing since then. Just sitting there looking pretty. I wish I could love these, I really really do, but I can’t lie and say they are life changing. Not that a highlight should be life changing but if it comes in a package like this one then hell yea I better be in for some life altering face glow.

The pigmentation, much like the Natural Love Eyeshadow Palette, just doesn’t come through. These literally disappear on the skin. There is no “subtle” glow even after two layers of packing this one. All three have the same soft, buttery consistency that is incredibly easy to blend. But what’s the point in having a fabulous formula if I can’t get the product to show up on my face … even after multiple layers and using different techniques.

All in all, these are highlighters are good for those who don’t want that “glow from outer space” look. But you could pay less for a drug store item and get the same payoff. The marketing should really be changed because these are not what they claim to be. “Unparalleled color payoff”? I think not. More like a soft, natural sheen. If that’s what you’re looking for and don’t mind dishing the $30 then go for it because at least the packaging is with all the hype.

oh and don’t forget to check out my review and swatches for the other Prismatic Highlighters and the Natural Love Eyeshadow Palette.
